Miscellaneous Professional Liability Insurance

Overview
Professionals, businesses and consultants face greater exposure to potential risks and liabilities than ever before. In rendering services and offering advice, they can be held legally responsible for negligent acts, failure to perform work promised in a contract or inability to meet client expectations.

For more than 25 years, PIA has been in the forefront of the Miscellaneous Professional Liability market, underwriting the most diverse and complex types of coverage. Programs are crafted to meet the needs of over 100 classes of professionals with harder to place risks, including:

  • Architects and Engineers
  • Computer Consultants/Electronic Data Processors
  • Environmental Consultants (including Analytical Testing Laboratories) with revenues under $10 million
  • Non-Profit Organizations

Policy Highlights:
The maximum limit of liability for most policies is $5 million. Contingent bodily injury and/or property damage and limited defense coverage outside the limit of liability are available for most risks. PIA can offer copyright, trademark and computer virus protection for EDP risks, as well as options for punitive damage and third party discrimination.

PIA has earned a reputation for reliability, service and exceptional turnaround time. Most Miscellaneous Professional Liability submissions will receive a response within 2 business days or less; policies are issued within a few days of binding.
